When buying land, you need to keep lots of things in mind. You must know its total diameter, its length and opening to the street. But, most importantly, you have to decide if it’s better suited for living or for real commercial use.
This choice is not easy to take. But if you keep in mind some tried-and-tested tips, then things will become pretty clear. In this article, we will tell you ways to tell apart a land which is best suited for business use, from a land which is ideal for living on it:
● Notice nearby attraction points
Is the land located near a school, hospital, restaurant, and supermarket? Is there an attraction nearby that people would kill to see? Are there many ways to commute from this point, such as bus, tram, or metro station?
Any of these represent signs that the land is excellent for business use. According to nearby attraction points and way of commuting, you can decide whether to use the terrain for a commercial building or a building of apartments that you can later sell. If you don’t have enough money for the project, you can always take credit or find a trustworthy investor to collaborate with.
If your chosen land is close to a lake or a park, and it’s a tranquil area overall, then you will be better off using it for residential projects.
● Notice your future neighbours
It’s essential to know your future neighbors to decide on the use of that land. For example, a tall commercial building would look extremely weird in a neighborhood of houses, and the chances are that you won’t even receive authorization for that building. When you notice a street (or neighborhood) filled with houses in a tranquil area, then it’s obvious that land will be best suited for a residential project (hint: a house or a pension).
On the other hand, if you notice a land in a prosperous neighborhood filled mostly with businesses and commercial buildings, then you will have to buy it only if you want to open a business as well.
Sure, you may try and be a little eccentric and build your home in a business neighborhood. But you will only end up paying a lot more for the land than you would in a normal neighborhood. Besides, you don’t want to receive “Good morning” from people coming to work near your house every day, instead of actual neighbors walking their dog or taking a stroll.
